Sarah Kuipers, O.D.
Dr. Sarah Kuipers is a Rapid City native that loves being in the black hills. She attended Indiana University School of Optometry, and is a member of the South Dakota Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association, and a proud provider and spokesperson for the InfantSEE program.
She serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern Plains Eye Foundation, is a member of the YFS Medical Advisory Board, and is a member of the scholarship committee for the AOA Foundation Optometry Cares.
Dr. Kuipers enjoys seeing patients from ages 0-100+. She is trained in pediatric optometry and ocular disease treatment and management.
In her free time, Dr. Kuipers enjoys hiking and kayaking in the Black Hills, attending car shows, and spending time with her husband, son, and their extended family.
Dr. Kassy Swanson, O.D.
Kassy Swanson, O.D.
Dr. Kassy Swanson is a native of Burke, South Dakota, but grew up on the Oregon coast and attended college in Bozeman, Montana. She went to optometry school at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon where she graduated with distinction in 2015. She then did a residency in hospital based optometry at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico.
Dr. Swanson is trained in primary eye care for patients of all ages with a particular interest in ocular disease treatment and management. She is a candidate for fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry, and a member of the South Dakota Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association.
When she is not working, Dr. Swanson enjoys exploring the Black Hills with her husband, trail running, mountain biking, and skiing.
